I managed a couple more los yesterday, along with baking, washing, ironing, and going to work. These two los are very simple, as I really wanted to tell the story more than show off the picture. Kendall's victory in the 800m was his first at school and I really wanted to highlight that rather than a heap of embellishments. Both los are simple but get the message across.

Family
This photo of Wade and his Mum was taken by Kendall at a party. I love the photo and thought it deserved special attention on a lo. This paper by Little Yellow Bicycle was just great. I could cut and 3D mount the pattern at the bottom as well as add different elements to give texture, perception of depth and of course match the beautiful Bella chipboard words. The frangipanis are from Bella as well and are resin, thus the page is a little heavier than normal but well worth it to get the 3d effect.
Dare Devils
Daring to be different today, I used alcohol inks and the reverse of a Hambly overlay, then used my star stamp, firstly the wrong way up so that I got a full star and then turned it over and used it the correct way to get the two concentric stars. Amazingly the acrylic stamp stayed on the block even though I had it upside down. I now can use my stamps two different ways, that has to be a bonus!! I am not a real glitter fan, but hey I was being different so used it over some dimension magic on the stars on the background paper and also added a couple of swirls on the overlay. Not my usual lo but sometimes you have to go outside the square.....

Great paper
I have had this paper in my stash for a while now, but it always seemed too busy for me to use, until now. The show is a vibrant happy place and this paper definitely invokes this feel. So thinking cap on; use one photo and make the most of the great pattern. I folded back one corner to reveal the other side and matched the background colour with some cardstock. I have 3D some parts of the circles and then stamped and embossed the star patterns. The chipboard letters are from Bella and were exactly the right colours, just added some Dimensional Magic to the top for a little sheen. Voila....a lo. (I think this one is for me as I am the biggest kid in the photo.....bring on the "Ride Queen").

A quick and easy lo
Last night, Dana and I were home alone with the boys at the Monster Truck rally. Dana was exhausted from athletics and went to bed quite early so I had some me time and made this lo. The paper is called "Sew Crazy" and it was perfect for the kids photos on the roller coaster at the show. I just stamped and opalled some stars (to match the carriage stars) and painted around them with twinkling H2O's. The paper did the rest. I am off to a coaching course this morning which starts at 8.00 am so this will be a very short post......Happy Sunday!!

July 123 Challenge
July's 123 challenge had 3 requirements. An altered photo whether manual or digitally, polka dots and paint on stamps.
My take used a manual alteration of the photo which included sanding as well as popping the subject out of the photo using 3d dots. The letters and the border were "painted" with stamps in yellow school bus colour. The polka dots are probably larger than normal polka dots but they did need to accomodate the letters, lol!! This is a different type of style for me as I usually do not touch my photos once they are printed.
Hope you like it!!! Off to athletics, hope the wind is not blowing a gale!!!
