Scrapbooking Expo

Have finally found 1/2 hour to myself to get some stuff organised for the Bne expo. I know, I know, it's not until June, but with everything that is going on here at the moment, I will take what ever time is allowed. I really have gone for classes that I have never encountered before as I would really like to widen my knowledge and skills. Only two of the classes require photographs, even if they have to be 3cm X 3cm. Well I hope you are all enjoying this tremendous weather, and for those of you down south have a play in the snow for me......

Finally an update!!!!

Just home from a crop in Sarina and although I had to leave early to be home to go to work this afternoon, I achieved three 12 x 12 los.....not a bad effort for such a short time. I love this photo, it was in colour but I love it in b&w better. The look on Kendall's face says everything and nothing all at the same time. He is a very thoughtful young man when he wants to be and this lo is dedicated to those times when his little mind is working in this manner. The backing paper contains a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson which sums up Kendall completely.

The second and third los are of photos I have had on by blog from the kids easter crafting. Just love gel letters they are so eeeeasy to use and give a great finish on a page. The papers are from Kaiser and are from a matching set, which made colour choice for the two los really easy. All in all a great day!!!!!

Dana's Easter

Dana is always out of bed early, and Easter Sunday was no exception. I could not resist this paper from Kaiser with the blooms and birds of paradise papers complimenting each other so well. I cut the birds from the paradise paper and incorporated them in the blooms paper. Think this will be last lo this weekend; have to be at work in a couple of hours.

Shares

A couple of easter los completed this afternoon. I have done them so they can be individual pages or as a double lo. I love grouping flowers onto pages but thought I would make a lot of Easter eggs and use them instead. Seeing these are Kendall's pages I thought eggs would be more appropriate, a more male orientated way.....lol it is difficult sometimes to get that male feel to pages. I admire Jill GG as she has 3 boys to scrap for...and she is a miracle worker!!!!

123 challenge lo

I have never done such a lo before and it was a challenge as I usually would not use paint in a spatter. The garden is looking lush at the moment, due to all the rain, so as we had to use stamps in this lo and I love butterflies, I decided to use the photos of the garden and scrap them accordingly. It really is a different lo for me and not my style at all but hey step out of the box occasionally and see what happens....

easter pics

Well the bunny must have liked the Easter baskets as they were quite full on Sunday Morning. It as been a wonderful 4 day break and it is a shame to think I have to sort mail this afternoon however reality always raises her ugly head eventually. I have been busy choosing photos to take with me to the Scrapbooking Expo in June in Brisbane and am struggling to make 5x5 cm photos required for Ngaire B's class. Not to be put off I have managed 7x7 cm ones so I guess it is only a matter of time.

I hope you all had the best Easter yet!!!!

My Good Friday Effort

Not only did the kids get crafty yesterday, I actually got to finish 2 los. The brother and sister-in-law have two small dogs and because of this my kids have overcome their fear of the 4 footed pets. They just adore Fluffy and she comes to visit us frequently. Dana got out her dolls pram and Fluffly was in her element. I just could not resist scrapping these photos.

And they're finished

Here are the finished baskets. It has rained all day, so this has kept the terrible two very busy. A little impatient when waiting for pain to dry but they are happy now that the 2009 model easter baskets are off the assembly line.

Abuzz with crafting

My kitchen looked like craft heaven this morning. The kids were busy working out their easter basket ideas. I will post their creations once they are finished. Lucky Mum has all the equipment required to make these wonderful creations. I hope the bunny appreciates the effort.

Not happy

i have just spend one hour trying to upload a video to my blog...but it keeps coming up with an error, and for the life of me I can't work out what the error is. Hopefully I can work it out and share this little movie with you all tomorrow...

Weekend over

Here it is, Monday morning again, and the weekend has just flown. I could not get any scrapping done, the mojo is lagging badly. Hopefully with Easter coming I can get some creative work done. A must is to paint the front door which is badly weathered. I was going to sand it down on the weekend but alas did not get to it due to the rain on Sunday morning. On a brighter note we attended the cons performance of Bye Bye Birdie on Saturday night. It was really well done and a credit to the students and teachers. I like to support local shows as well as visiting ones and the performance on Saturday night was up there with the visiting professionals. Well done to all of those involved...keep up the good work.

Mini Book for Kendall

Finally I have some shots of the mini book I did for Kendall of his second visit to Brock Experience in Yeppoon. He went down with Wade and my Dad and this time they started up the cars and Kendall got to rev one. I think one of the phrases I used in the book was "Boy Heaven". Wade said he could not wipe the smile off the little guy's face. I did not over embellish, Kendall chose clip art from the net and we used it as embellishments. It really is about the visit and for him to remember later on..

Cyber Space

A few years ago I didn't think I would be blogging but here I am doing just that. Now I have joined facebook. Don't really understand it yet but am working on it. I even managed to find some school friends from all those years ago. Hopefully I can get the hang of it just as I have with blogging....lol modern technology
