Lets Get Shabby


This months challenge was all to do with summer. Summer here means hot days and rain. It was raining while I did this lo so I decided on a parasol/umbrella theme. The two girls smiles certainly brighten any day and I used the colours from the photo to help create the background parasol, which included lace, ribbon, crystals and bazzill card stock. I love American craft thickers and these "Prancer" ones were very bright indeed. I added Dimensional Magic to give them a shine. I could not resist adding sequins to the parasol to match the costumes in the photo. The overlay is from Page Frame Designs and is a really thick overlay which does not bend easily, so it holds the weight of the parasol well...
